There is no price list on this site, and that is a decision rather than an oversight. Every commission is priced to its own design.
That is an unsatisfying thing to read when you are trying to plan a wedding. So here is what actually moves the number, which is more useful than a figure that would be wrong for your gown anyway.
Four things move it
- the fabric, and how much of it the silhouette needs
- how much hand embroidery the design carries, and which kind
- how structured the gown is, because structure is labour before it is anything else
- how many fittings the design calls for
A clean crepe column and a boned bodice worked in zardosi are not two versions of one gown at two prices. They are different amounts of work, and the work is most of the figure.
Why a published range would not help you
A range wide enough to be true of every commission would be too wide to plan with. A range narrow enough to plan with would be wrong for half the brides who read it. Either way it would be a number attached to a gown nobody has designed yet.
A price on a gown that does not exist is a guess with a currency symbol in front of it.
Raise it early, and raise it plainly
Say your budget at the consultation, in the first hour, before the drawing starts. It is far easier to design to a number than to redesign around one later, and knowing it changes what is worth putting on the table at all.
It also changes the advice you get. A heavily worked bodice and a heavily worked hem do not cost the same, and knowing which of the two matters to you is worth more than any range on a web page. That conversation is the whole point of what a bridal consultation actually is.
What we have not published
A starting price for a gown, a blouse or a bridesmaid collection, and the deposit and payment terms, are not on this site. Both are settled per commission at the moment, so publishing a figure would mean publishing one we would have to walk back. The gap is deliberate.
